Postpartum Doulas provide a lending hand where needed. We are there to offer support to you and your family as you go through this beautiful and wonderful time. Postpartum Doulas ease the transition as you welcome your newborn. We are there to provide what is needed for you, baby, and your family. The postpartum period deserves as much preparation as the birth! That is where we can also help–by bringing our knowledge and understanding of the importance of this sacred time and providing our expertise, gentle hands and loving hearts.
The Fourth Trimester
25 hours of care
postpartum care includes but is not limited to:
- One free initial consultation and one or two prenatal meetings plus five 4 hour post-partum visits and one 5 hour visit
- Allowing you to have time to complete tasks, rest, and sleep
- Household chores such as dishes, laundry, general house tidying
- Newborn care
- Feeding support – breastfeeding or bottle feeding
- Multiples support
- Sibling support
- Comfort measures to help ease any after labor pain
- Meal preparation
- Overnight care if specifically requested ($5/hr additional added onto package hourly pricing)
- Non-judgmental support
- Evidence-based information
- Access to lending library and resource lists and referrals upon request
- Unlimited call, text or email for any questions or concerns
- On call 24/7 from two weeks before your estimated due date
- You will receive a homemade sourdough loaf and a 650g container of homemade bone broth during one of your visits!
